Elizabeth Lake
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hello, my name is Elizabeth, but I often go by Lizzie. I am here to support you with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and complex relationship dynamics, including those in non-traditional or non-monogamous partnerships. I also work with neurodivergent individuals and am a 2SLGBTQIA+ ally, offering a safe, affirming space for diverse identities and experiences.
I have been in the mental health sector for several years and bring a warm, informed, and compassionate approach to therapy. My clinical training includes Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy, trauma treatment, and specialized support for those recovering from narcissistic abuse.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns—whether you’re coping with grief, facing everyday stressors, or working through relational or emotional pain. I am dedicated to creating a supportive space for clients from all walks of life, including those from various faith backgrounds, neurodivergent individuals, and people in non-traditional relationships.
My approach is client-centered and grounded in psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapy. From this foundation, I integrate elements of solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), tailoring each session to meet your unique needs. Most importantly, our work will always move at your pace and be guided by what feels right for you.
If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy and respect.
