Gina Li
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Hi, I’m Gina, and I am here to support individuals navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, identity concerns, and life transitions. With fluency in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, I provide culturally attuned care to clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly those seeking therapy in their native language or who wish to explore how culture, family, and personal values intersect with their emotional well-being.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable and even daunting. That’s why I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard—a place where you can share your experiences without fear of judgment.
In our sessions, my goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, build emotional resilience, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence. Whether you’re working through a specific concern or seeking clarity and balance in your life, I am here to walk alongside you as you take meaningful steps toward healing and self-discovery.
My therapeutic style is person-centred and holistic. I draw from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. I believe that lasting change happens when therapy is grounded in both compassion and collaboration, and when it honors the full complexity of who you are.
Ultimately, I hope to support you in building a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and aligned with your core values.
